I’m going to be conducting a one-day Rails workshop in Toronto on December 15. It will be an introduction to Ruby language essentials and the Ruby on Rails framework.

Topics will include:

  • Ruby language basics
  • Rails application creation and startup
  • “Rails-friendly” database design
  • HTML templating for Rails views
  • Data validation, testing, Ajax basics, and more
